Why Your Lower Back Pain Continues and Wont Go Away

 
 

Seeing a Chiropractor or Massage Therapist is a great way to relieve lower back & sciatica pain. However, the lower back and sciatica pain will return if the entire body and surrounding muscular system is not addressed.

  • The majority of lower back and sciatica pain originates from an imbalance, mobility restriction, and muscular weakness.

  • Stretching can and will help with lower back pain as well as core strengthening exercises. These stretches and core exercises only help if they are specific to what you need. Understanding what you specifically need is crucial in lower back treatment.

  • The unfortunate truth is, one single session with any healthcare professional is not enough to eliminate lower back pain, and definitely not enough to give you the knowledge needed to lead a pain free life.

~ 4 Steps to a Pain-Free Life ~

 

Step 1. Identify - Minimize - Eliminate

Identify In this initial process. We will identify the root cause and source of your lower back pain by gathering all the evidence possible and recreating the pain (at a minimal level), discovering when it hurts, where it hurts, how it hurts, and which movements bring about more pain, etc.



Minimize the pain. Once we have gone through and found our “Main Suspect”. I can give you the guidance and knowledge to mitigate the pain at home. I will provide you a PDF, not pictures, but video tutorials I recorded myself. These will be simple stretches, mobility drills, and exercises done at home with zero equipment.



Eliminate the lower back pain for good! The combination of what we will be doing in-session along with the simple drills you’ll be doing at home, will expedite the process of pain elimination. You will begin to see in just a few short days that your pain is subsiding, and when flare-ups occur, your pain will not last as long, and the recovery time will be much quicker.

Step 2: Core & Joint Strength

Now that we have eliminated your pain or brought it down to an acceptable level. We can start to rebuild the body from the inside out. Much like building a house, we begin with the framework.


By this, I mean your joints and core. Every action we take requires the joints, tendons, and ligaments to work in unison, as well as our core. If these two systems are faulty or subpar, the roof will essentially come crashing down due to an absence of support. 


The stronger our joints and core are, the stronger we can become. We reduce and mitigate the risks of future injuries and build a body that functions optimally.

Step 3: Master the Fundamentals of Movement

Knowing how to control our body is key to longevity and living a pain-injury-free life. A life of freedom to do what you want, when you want.


There are seven primary human movement patterns. Squat, Lunge, Hinge, Push, Pull, Carry, and Rotation. (From these seven, we can create unlimited combinations of movement, similar to color combinations)


To “Master" these movements is to understand the mind-to-muscle connection. Which muscles are supposed to work. Which muscles are not. How to control muscular contraction, and more importantly, where you should NOT be feeling any pain, teaching the brain and body to work as a team versus two separate entities.

Step 4: Train for Desired Outcome

Now that we have completed the first three steps, we can dive into the fun stuff and begin to train for what you want out of life.
